Oakley’s experience in flooring began when he was five years old. This was not a violation of child labor laws, but rather a father-son experience that would set the course for his future and last throughout his teenage years. Oakley’s father, Oakley Wright, Sr., was well-known throughout Philadelphia’s Mainline Suburbs as the best carpet contractor in the area.
At the age of 6, Oakley earned his first pay as Dad’s helper. His father would give him $20 a week. He would rush to a nearby store to exchange the $20 bill for twenty 1 dollar bills so he would have a wad of money in his pocket. He loved to share his earnings with his friends. A caring attitude that he still has today.
While in college, Oakley left his father’s company to broaden his experience by working for Union flooring contractors. During this time, he received training in hard surface flooring and concrete self-leveling. Armed with this knowledge and a new passion for commercial flooring, Oakley returned to working with his father in 1995 to start a commercial division.
In 1998, Oakley’s hunger to expand outgrew his father’s business, and he left to start building the company of his dreams. Oakley Commercial Flooring was launched in 2004.
Today Oakley prides himself on his ability to identify flooring problems and find the best solution. Although he has an in-house installation crew, project management staff, and an interior design team, Oakley personally works with each of his customers to ensure that their expectations are properly set and achieved. Oakley Wright Jr. is a Pennsylvania native who grew up with a passion for flooring. Throughout his adolescent and teenage years, he worked alongside his father in his flooring business, which taught him hard work, dedication, and mastery of the craft. After earning a degree in business from Alfred University, Oakley started his own business in 1998 called Vision Contract Flooring, which he ran until 2003 when another company acquired it. In 2004, Oakley Commercial Flooring was born. He prides himself on being at the top of his game in style, craftsmanship, and customer service. “I’m very passionate when I’m selling a product to a client. I don’t just sell them anything; I build relationships.”
An avid health enthusiast, you’ll often find him training for a triathlon or riding his bike 50-60 miles on the weekends. Oakley does nothing halfway. When it comes to business and life, he’s all in.
“My favorite part of the job is meeting deadlines for our clients.”
Nancy has been a member of Oakley’s team since 2018 and previously worked in interior design. Her creativity, along with her penchant for numbers, results in quick turnarounds and accurate proposals. She lives in Philadelphia with her two sons, and they love to do adventurous things together.

With many years of project management under her belt, Sarah has worked in commercial painting, carpentry, flooring, and restaurant management. She’s strong on customer service, great communication, and loves seeing projects transform. She lives in Philly with her son and loves to be outdoors, playing basketball or eating with friends.
“I love my job. It’s not often that someone can wake up in the morning and feel excited to go to work.”
Joining the Oakley team in 2018, Janie previously worked in the hotel and flooring industry. She strives every day to be as helpful as possible and feels that product knowledge is vital. When asked about her favorite part of the job? She says, EVERYTHING! As a mother of 6, she can handle just about anything.

Joining Oakley in 2019, Katina’s previous experience was in clothing manufacturing. Her ability to coordinate many moving parts to create a masterpiece has been invaluable to the team. She loves seeing a space transformed and fulfilling their clients’ vision. A PA native, Katina is an on-the-go mom who loves the beach.

Peter has worked at Oakley Commercial Flooring since September 2020, and he prides himself on assuring clients that their projects will be precise and on time. Peter is a student at Rosemont College and President of the Rosemont College Business Networking Society.
